The vision of Hindu Yuba-Chattra Parishad is to build an enlightened and disciplined force of Assam's youth — young men and women who take active responsibility for the welfare of their society.
HYCP works to create awareness among the youth about social, educational and cultural issues facing Assam, and to channel their energy into constructive, community-first action rather than passive concern.
We envision a generation of youth who are proud of Assamese culture and heritage, committed to communal harmony, and ready to serve during times of need — from natural calamities to everyday civic gaps — while building the self-reliance of their communities.
The Central Executive Committee of HYCP falls under the Central Steering Committee. The central executive meeting takes place every two months, with all district presidents, secretaries and other relevant persons participating alongside the central executive committee.
In these executive meetings, leaders and members analyse the past two months' activities and plan for the next two months. District committees are able to place their grievances before the central body during this process.
The quorum for the central executive is two-thirds of the total strength, ensuring decisions carry the backing of the wider leadership.
The same democratic process is followed at the district level, where duties and responsibilities are further delegated to Aanchalic (regional) and Saakhaa (branch) committees.
